Job Description
Children's Dental Center is seeking a full-time Dental Assistant to be part of our amazing team! Our goal at Children's Dental Center is to provide a fun environment where children can have a positive dental experience while providing them top-quality dental care. We are seeking dependable, fun, hard-working, proactive team players to join our practice. If you are a compassionate, detail-oriented person, committed to excellent patient care who enjoys working with children, we would love to meet you!
Office Hours:
Monday:
7am- 5pm
Tuesday:
7am- 5pm
Wednesday:
7am- 1:30pm
Thursday:
7am- 5pm
Friday:
7am- noon
Responsibilities:
- Assist the dentist during dental procedures.
- Prepare and sterilize dental instruments and equipment.
- Take dental x-rays.
- Provide chairside assistance to the dentist during procedures.
- Educate patients on oral hygiene and post-operative care.
- Maintain a clean and organized dental operatory.
- Follow infection control protocols and maintain a sterile environment.
- Adhere to HIPAA regulations for patient confidentiality.
Requirements:
- Must have a valid South Dakota Dental Assistant license or a valid DANB certification.
- Must have a valid SD Dental Radiographer license.
- Authorized to administer nitrous oxide, preferred, but not required.
- Ability to work well in a team environment.
- Compassionate and caring attitude toward patients and parents.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
