The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in clinical assisting, patient care, and dental procedures, with a commitment to maintaining the highest standards of infection control and patient confidentiality. As a Registered Dental Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting dentists during procedures, managing patient records, and ensuring a smooth and efficient dental practice environment. This position offers an engaging opportunity to contribute to comprehensive oral health care while fostering positive patient experiences. Duties Assist dentists chairside during various dental procedures, including restorative, endodontic, prosthodontic, and oral surgery treatments. Prepare and sterilize dental instruments and equipment in accordance with infection prevention management policies. Take and develop dental radiographs (X-ray) while adhering to radiation safety protocols. Manage patient records using electronic medical record (EMR) systems such as Dentrix or Eaglesoft, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality. Obtain vital signs and medical histories to support comprehensive patient assessments. Provide patient care by explaining procedures, answering questions, and ensuring comfort throughout visits. Support administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments, managing patient flow, and assisting the dental receptionist as needed. Maintain clinical cleanliness by following aseptic techniques and infection control standards aligned with healthcare infection prevention policies. Qualifications Valid certification as a Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) or equivalent licensure in accordance with state or regional regulations. Proven experience in general dentistry with proficiency in chairside assisting and dental instrument processing. Familiarity with dental software platforms including Dentrix, Eaglesoft, or similar patient management software. Knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, and medical terminology relevant to dental practice. Experience with pediatric dentistry, oral surgery, endodontics, prosthodontics, and other specialty areas is preferred. Strong understanding of dental equipment operation, sterilization procedures, and infection prevention standards. Excellent communication skills with the ability to educate patients on oral health practices effectively. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining clinical confidentiality policies.
