Job Description

Are you passionate about working with children and helping create positive dental experiences? We are seeking a compassionate, energetic, and skilled Pediatric Dental Assistant to join our growing team. The ideal candidate enjoys working with children of all ages, has a positive attitude, and is committed to helping patients feel comfortable and confident during their dental visits. Our practice is dedicated to providing exceptional pediatric dental care in a fun, friendly, and supportive environment. As a Pediatric Dental Assistant, you will play a key role in helping children develop healthy oral habits and positive relationships with dental care. Responsibilities Assist the dentist during examinations and treatment procedures while ensuring each child feels safe, comfortable, and supported. Build rapport with patients and families to create a welcoming and positive dental experience. Prepare treatment rooms and instruments according to infection control and sterilization protocols. Take dental radiographs while following all safety guidelines. Monitor patients receiving nitrous oxide sedation. Record patient medical histories, vital signs, and treatment information accurately. Provide oral hygiene education and post-treatment instructions to patients and parents. Help manage patient flow and maintain an efficient schedule. Maintain accurate patient records and ensure HIPAA compliance. Work collaboratively with team members to create a fun, child-friendly environment. Qualifications Previous dental assisting experience required; pediatric dental experience preferred.
Current certification in:
Coronal Polishing Sealants Dental Radiography Nitrous Oxide Monitoring Comfortable working with children, including those who may be anxious or have special healthcare needs. Strong communication skills with both children and parents. Positive, patient, and team-oriented attitude. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
