Job Description

Job Overview Join our dynamic dental team as a Registered Dental Assistant (RDA), where you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional patient care and supporting the clinical operations of our dental practice. As an energetic and detail-oriented professional, you will assist dentists during procedures, ensure the highest standards of infection control, and provide a welcoming experience for every patient. Your expertise in dental assisting, combined with your knowledge of clinical protocols and dental technology, will help us create healthy smiles and positive patient journeys. Duties Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments, setting up dental tools, and ensuring all equipment is functioning properly according to infection prevention management and aseptic techniques. Assist dentists chairside during a variety of procedures including general dentistry, pediatric dentistry, oral surgery, endodontics, prosthodontics, and other specialty treatments. Take and develop dental x-rays and 3D scans while adhering to dental x-ray safety standards and radiation safety protocols. Manage medical documentation by accurately recording patient information, vital signs, medical history, and treatment details into electronic medical records (EMR systems) such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix. Ensure clinical confidentiality policies are strictly followed when handling patient records in compliance with HIPAA regulations. Support dental instrument processing by cleaning, sterilizing, and organizing tools in accordance with dental sterilization procedures. Collaborate with the dental team including reception staff to coordinate patient appointments and assist with administrative tasks like dental receptionist duties when needed. Maintain a clean and organized clinical environment while following infection control guidelines for healthcare infection prevention and control expertise. Skills Proficiency in EMR systems such as Eaglesoft, Dentrix, or Epic for efficient medical documentation and record keeping. Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, and medical terminology to communicate effectively within the clinical setting. Experience with dental sterilization procedures, infection prevention management, aseptic techniques, and dental instrument processing. Ability to operate dental imaging equipment including X-ray machines and 3D scanners safely and accurately. Skilled in chairside assisting techniques such as four-handed dentistry to enhance workflow efficiency during procedures. Familiarity with pediatric dentistry practices and providing compassionate care tailored for children patients. Knowledge of healthcare regulations including HIPAA compliance to protect patient privacy at all times. Excellent communication skills as a dental assistant/dental receptionist combined with a friendly demeanor that fosters positive patient interactions. Ability to handle multiple responsibilities efficiently while maintaining clinical confidentiality policies and adhering to infection control standards.
