Job Description
Job Overview We are seeking a licensed Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental practice. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality patient care while assisting the dentist during various procedures. This position requires a strong understanding of dental terminology, aseptic techniques, and a commitment to maintaining patient comfort and safety. Duties Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures, ensuring all necessary instruments and materials are prepared and available. Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) while adhering to safety protocols. Maintain accurate patient records, including medical histories and treatment plans, in compliance with HIPAA regulations. Educate patients on pre and post-treatment care. Sterilize instruments and maintain cleanliness of the dental operatory according to aseptic techniques. Schedule appointments and manage patient flow within the office. Utilize dental software systems like Sensei for record-keeping and appointment management. Qualifications Previous experience as a Dental Assistant is preferred. Multi-tasking Knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, and procedures is essential. Proficiency in aseptic techniques to ensure patient safety during treatments. Ability to work collaboratively within a team-oriented environment while maintaining professionalism at all times. Strong communication skills to effectively interact with patients of all ages. Familiarity with HIPAA regulations to protect patient confidentiality. Willingness to learn new systems and technologies related to dental practice management.
