Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and compassionate Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) to join our vibrant dental team. In this role, you will be instrumental in providing exceptional patient care, supporting dentists and hygienists during procedures, and ensuring smooth clinic operations. Your expertise in dental assisting, combined with your knowledge of dental terminology and medical documentation, will help create a welcoming environment where patients feel confident and cared for. Responsibilities Assist the dentist and/or the hygienist during a variety of dental procedures by preparing instruments, materials, and patient comfort measures. Take and record vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, and respiration to support patient assessment. Manage patient records accurately using Dentrix while ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations. Prepare treatment rooms for patient procedures, ensuring sterilization protocols are followed meticulously. Educate patients on oral health care practices and post-treatment instructions clearly and effectively. Handle administrative duties including scheduling appointments, updating medical and dental histories, and managing medical coding for billing purposes. Maintain a clean, organized work environment while adhering to infection control standards in accordance with OSHA guidelines. Qualifications Valid licensure as a Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) or equivalent certification. Proven experience working in a dental office setting with familiarity in dental assisting procedures. Strong knowledge of dental terminology, medical terminology, and medical documentation standards. Proficiency in using dental practice management software such as Dentrix. Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with patients and team members. Ability to accurately assess patient needs and support clinical workflows efficiently while maintaining HIPAA compliance.
