This role combines front desk administrative support with clinical assistance, ensuring a seamless patient experience from appointment scheduling to post-treatment care. The ideal candidate will be energetic, detail-oriented, and committed to providing exceptional patient service while maintaining clinical efficiency. You will play a vital role in managing patient interactions, handling medical records, and supporting the clinical team with dental procedures and documentation. Responsibilities Greet patients warmly, verify insurance coverage, and schedule appointments using Dentrix PMS. Assist the dental team during procedures by preparing instruments, taking X-rays, and ensuring patient comfort. Manage electronic health records (EHR systems) including documentation review, updating medical histories, and maintaining accurate dental records. Verify the occasional insurance benefits. Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and clinical confidentiality policies by safeguarding patient information at all times. Answer multi-line phone systems professionally, provide exceptional customer service, and address patient inquiries promptly. Perform administrative tasks such as filing and managing medical records. Assist with medical coding including CPT (Current Procedural Terminology), ICD-9/10 (International Classification of Diseases), and ICD coding for billing accuracy. Support clinic operations by managing appointment reminders and health updates as needed. Experience Prior experience in a dental clinic is highly preferred; familiarity with dental terminology is a plus. Some knowledge of dental insurance processes including verification. Experience with Dentrix is highly desirable. Excellent computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel) and typing skills (10 key typing). Proven ability to deliver outstanding patient service while adhering to clinical confidentiality policies and HIPAA standards. Join our team where your enthusiasm meets purpose!
