Hansen Orthodontics & Aesthetics | El Paso, TX Hansen Orthodontics & Aesthetics is a modern, fast-growing orthodontic practice focused on providing exceptional clinical care and life-changing smile transformations. We are looking for an experienced Orthodontic Assistant who is confident working chairside, understands orthodontic treatment workflows, and genuinely enjoys working with patients. The ideal candidate is confident, dependable, clinically skilled, and able to work efficiently in a fast-paced orthodontic environment.
What We're Looking For Required:
Minimum 1 year of hands-on orthodontic dental assisting experience Experience assisting with bracket placement/bonding and wire changes Experience taking orthodontic records Comfortable assisting the orthodontist during routine orthodontic procedures Strong understanding of orthodontic instruments, materials, and treatment workflow Ability to educate patients on oral hygiene, appliances, elastics, and treatment instructions Ability to work independently while also being a strong team player Excellent communication and patient-care skills Strong organization, attention to detail, and ability to multitask Professional, positive attitude and a strong work ethic Strongly preferred: Experience with digital scans/orthodontic records Experience with clear aligners Experience taking clinical photographs and X-rays Bilingual English/Spanish What You'll Do Assist the orthodontist during clinical procedures and patient appointments Perform orthodontic assisting duties including bracket placement, wire changes, and other routine orthodontic procedures Take accurate, high-quality orthodontic records Prepare treatment rooms and maintain excellent sterilization standards Provide patients with clear instructions regarding appliances, oral hygiene, elastics, and treatment Maintain an organized and efficient clinical environment Build positive relationships with patients and families Help ensure every patient has an exceptional experience Communicate effectively with the orthodontist and team Contribute to a culture of teamwork, accountability, professionalism, and continuous improvement Who Will Thrive Here This position is a great fit for someone who: Already has real orthodontic assisting experience Is comfortable working independently and staying productive Takes pride in clinical quality and attention to detail Enjoys interacting with children, teens, and adults Wants to continue learning and developing professionally Is dependable, punctual, and takes ownership of their work Wants to be part of a growing practice rather than simply looking for a job What We Offer Competitive compensation based on experience Performance-based bonuses Opportunities for advancement Continuing education and professional development On-the-job training and mentorship Modern, technology-driven practice Supportive and collaborative team environment Opportunity to grow with a rapidly expanding orthodontic practice Schedule Part-time or full-time opportunities 3-4 days per week Occasional weekends as needed In-person position in El Paso, TX Compensation Competitive pay based on experience and skill level.
