Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) to join our dynamic dental team. In this vital role, you will provide exceptional chairside assistance, ensure smooth clinical operations, and support patient care with professionalism and compassion. Your expertise in dental procedures, infection control, and patient management will contribute to creating a positive experience for every patient. Responsibilities Assist the dentist during various procedures including general dentistry, oral surgery, endodontics, prosthodontics, and pediatric dentistry with precision and efficiency Prepare and sterilize dental instruments and equipment following strict infection prevention management and aseptic techniques Take and develop dental x-rays, including 3D scans when applicable, ensuring accurate imaging for diagnosis and treatment planning Manage patient records using electronic medical record (EMR) systems such as Dentrix or Eaglesoft while maintaining strict clinical confidentiality policies in compliance with HIPAA regulations Monitor vital signs and medical documentation to ensure patient safety before, during, and after treatments Provide patient care by explaining procedures, answering questions, and ensuring comfort throughout visits Support dental reception duties by scheduling appointments, managing patient flow with patient management software, and assisting with administrative tasks as needed Experience Prior experience working in a dental clinic environment with a focus on general dentistry or pediatric dentistry is highly preferred Proficiency in dental assisting techniques including four-handed dentistry, dental instrument processing, and chairside assisting Familiarity with dental terminology, medical terminology, and dental equipment operation is essential Hands-on experience with EMR systems such as Dentrix or Eaglesoft is advantageous Knowledge of infection control standards, sterilization procedures, and healthcare infection prevention practices is required Ability to perform dental x-ray procedures safely while adhering to radiation safety protocols Strong understanding of anatomy relevant to oral surgery and endodontics enhances your effectiveness in assisting clinicians Join us to be part of a vibrant team committed to delivering outstanding oral health care!
