Registered Dental Assistant (RDA)

Duties Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures, employing four-handed dentistry techniques to enhance efficiency. Prepare and maintain dental instruments and equipment, ensuring they are clean, sterilized, and ready for use. Assist the dentist(s) during a variety of treatments. Take and record vital signs of patients to ensure their health and safety during dental procedures. Manage medical records accurately, including documentation of patient history and treatment plans using OpenDental software. Utilize a 3D scanner and take and develop dental radiographs for creating digital impressions as needed. Implement aseptic techniques to prevent infection and maintain a sterile work environment. Provide patients with post-operative care instructions and answer any questions they may have regarding their treatment. Support the front office with scheduling appointments, managing patient flow, and ensuring a positive patient experience if needed. Educate patients on oral hygiene and post-op care. Qualifications Current Texas RDA license required. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with a positive attitude. Previous experience as a Dental Assistant in general dentistry is preferred. Familiarity with medical documentation practices and maintaining accurate medical records. Proficient in using dental software such as OpenDental is highly desirable. Strong understanding of aseptic techniques and infection control protocols. Ability to take vital signs accurately and respond appropriately to patient needs. Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with patients and team members. A commitment to continuous learning and professional development in the field of dentistry. Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus but not required.
