This role serves as a leader and mentor to the clinical team by ensuring efficiency, organization, excellent patient experience, and adherence to office systems and protocols. The ideal candidate is dependable, positive, organized, solution-oriented, and capable of maintaining a productive and patient-focused clinical environment. Key ResponsibilitiesClinical Leadership Lead and support the clinical team throughout the day Assist in maintaining an efficient and productive clinical schedule Help ensure operatories are prepared and running on time Monitor daily flow and communicate with front office regarding scheduling needs Assist with onboarding and training new clinical team members Promote teamwork, professionalism, and accountability Patient Care Responsibilities Prepare patients for treatment and review medical history Assist doctor chairside during dental procedures Take diagnostic x-rays and intraoral photos Provide patient education regarding treatment and oral hygiene Ensure patient comfort and positive experience throughout visit Review post-op instructions and treatment recommendations with patients Make patient recare calls to schedule to productivity Assist Dr. in training of prospective rda students Clinical Operations Maintain cleanliness and organization of operatories and sterilization areas Ensure instruments and supplies are properly stocked and maintained Monitor inventory and notify management of supply needs Follow OSHA, HIPAA, and infection control protocols Assist with lab case organization and tracking Ensure proper documentation and charting in patient records Team Accountability Help maintain clinical standards and office protocols Assist in identifying workflow improvements Support daily morning huddles and team communication Encourage positive morale and professionalism within the team Help ensure treatment rooms remain productive and efficient Qualifications Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) preferred Minimum 2 years dental assisting experience preferred Strong communication and leadership skills Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment Strong organizational and time-management skills Positive attitude and team-oriented mindset Experience with Dentrix preferred Skills & Strengths Leadership Dependability Initiative Problem-solving Patient communication Team collaboration Attention to detail Clinical efficiency Physical Requirements Ability to stand for extended periods Ability to assist during clinical procedures Ability to lift and move clinical supplies as needed Performance Expectations The Lead Clinical Assistant is expected to: Help maintain productive clinical flow Support excellent patient experiences Lead by example through professionalism and teamwork Assist in keeping treatment rooms fully prepared and efficient Support office production and scheduling goals Schedule Full-time position with occasional flexibility based on office needs.
