Take high-quality dental x-rays and 3D scans while adhering to dental sterilization procedures and radiation safety protocols. Manage patient records using electronic medical records (EMR) systems such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix, ensuring accurate documentation of medical history, vital signs, and treatment notes in compliance with HIPAA regulations. Provide exceptional patient care by explaining procedures, managing patient comfort, and maintaining clinical confidentiality policies throughout appointments. Support patient management through scheduling appointments, verifying insurance information, and assisting with billing processes using patient management software. Maintain clinical cleanliness by processing dental instruments, sterilizing equipment, and ensuring all dental equipment is functioning properly for safe use. Skills Proficiency with EMR systems like Eaglesoft or Dentrix to document medical records accurately. Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, and clinical procedures across various specialties including pediatric dentistry and oral surgery. Experience with dental x-ray techniques, medical imaging, and the operation of dental equipment such as 3D scanners. Familiarity with infection control standards including healthcare infection prevention and control expertise, aseptic technique, and dental sterilization procedures. Ability to perform chairside assisting with four-handed dentistry techniques to enhance procedural efficiency. Understanding of medical documentation requirements related to vital signs, medical history updates, and clinical notes. Excellent communication skills for patient care coordination and collaboration with the dental team in a fast-paced environment.
