Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing exceptional chairside assistance, ensuring patient comfort, and supporting the overall efficiency of our dental practice. This role requires a thorough understanding of dental procedures, infection control protocols, and proficiency with various dental software systems. The Registered Dental Assistant will play a vital role in delivering high-quality dental care within pediatric dentistry,. Duties Assist dentists during a variety of dental procedures including restorations, extractions, and root canals with four-six handed dentistry techniques. Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments and ensuring all necessary supplies are available. Take dental X-rays, while adhering to safety standards and HIPAA regulations. Record medical history information accurately in medical records systems. Maintain aseptic techniques to ensure infection control and patient safety throughout all procedures. Provide patient education on oral health care, post-operative instructions, and preventive measures. Manage charts to ensure accurate record keeping. Support administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments and managing patient flow as a dental receptionist when needed. Stay updated on current dental terminology, anatomy knowledge, and medical imaging techniques relevant to pediatric dentistry. Requirements Valid certification as a Registered Dental Assistant with current licensure. Proficiency with Dentrix. Strong understanding of HIPAA regulations and medical documentation standards. Familiarity with dental terminology and medical terminology. Experience assisting in pediatric dentistry but not necessary. Ability to perform X-ray procedures safely and accurately while maintaining aseptic technique. Excellent communication skills to effectively educate patients of all ages about oral health care.
