Responsibilities:
Preparation:
Setting up necessary, sterilized instruments, equipment, and materials for specific procedures.
Patient Care:
Welcoming patients, reviewing medical history and ensuring comfort.
Chairside Assistance:
Providing four-handed dentistry, including suctioning, retracting, and passing instruments.
Radiography & Imaging:
Taking digital x-rays, cone beam scans, and intraoral images.
Infection Control:
Sterilizing instruments, disinfecting operatories, and maintaining OSHA compliance.
Clinical Procedures:
Applying pit and fissure sealants, removing sutures, polishing coronal surfaces, taking dental impressions, and fabricating temporary crowns.
Documentation:
Updating patient records and charting treatment notes in software.
Requirements:
  • Certification or diploma in Dental Assisting
  • 1-2 years of experience preferred
  • Knowledge of dental anatomy and terminology
  • Proficiency in using dental software, such as Open Dental
  • Familiarity with aseptic techniques and infection control protocols
  • Skilled in dental assisting procedures, including chairside assistance and instrument handling
  • Knowledge of medical imaging techniques for dental diagnostics We are seeking a detail-oriented Dental Assistant to join our team.
