The Hygiene Dental Assistant builds on sterile tech fundamentals and begins assisting in patient care. Key duties include seating patients, taking X-rays, preparing rooms, assisting during procedures, and supporting patient flow. This role requires foundational clinical knowledge, adherence to protocols (30/60/90), and the ability to communicate basic procedure information to patients while maintaining efficiency in a fast-paced environment.

The Hygiene Assistant focuses on supporting hygienists and ensuring efficient hygiene operations. Responsibilities include seating hygiene patients, taking X-rays before the hygienist enters, charting, taking blood pressure, pre-booking appointments, and maintaining hygiene room readiness. This role also supports patient education and helps keep providers on schedule, requiring strong organization, communication, and multitasking skills. Qualifications Preferred Valid certification as a Registered Dental Assistant I with demonstrated knowledge of dental terminology (NOT
REQUIRED UPON HIRE - 1
year to obtain) and BLS certification. Experience working in a dental clinic environment with proficiency in infection control practices and aseptic technique Familiarity with EMR systems such as Dentrix Ascend Ability to operate dental imaging equipment including X-ray machines and 3D scanners with precision Knowledge of dentistry principles and procedures is highly desirable Strong understanding of general dentistry procedures Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with dentists, hygienists, patients, and administrative staff Embark on a rewarding career where your skills make a meaningful difference!
