The ideal candidate will support the clinical team by providing exceptional chairside assistance, managing patient care, and ensuring smooth daily operations. Knowledge of dental terminology, and infection control protocols is essential. This role offers an opportunity to work in a moderate-paced environment focused on delivering high-quality dental care across general dentistry. Prior experience with digital imaging, X-ray procedures, and medical documentation is highly valued. Responsibilities Assist dentists during various procedures including restorations, extractions, and root canals with chairside assistance and aseptic techniques. Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments and ensuring all necessary supplies are available. Take and develop dental X-rays while adhering to HIPAA regulations and infection control standards. Manage patient records using EMR systems such as Open Dental to ensure accurate documentation of medical history, vital signs, and treatment notes. Educate patients on oral health care, post-operative instructions, and preventive measures. Maintain a clean and organized clinical environment following infection control protocols. Support administrative duties such as scheduling appointments and managing medical records as needed. Assist with the use of advanced technology including 3D scanners and medical imaging equipment for comprehensive diagnostics. Collaborate effectively within a team practicing four-handed dentistry to improve efficiency and patient comfort. Requirements Proven experience as a Dental Assistant in a clinical setting with knowledge of dental assisting procedures. Familiarity with EMR systems and experience with medical coding and documentation is a plus. Knowledge of HIPAA regulations, infection control practices, aseptic technique, and dental terminology. Ability to operate X-ray equipment safely and accurately; certification in radiography preferred. Strong understanding of anatomy relevant to dentistry including pediatric considerations when applicable. Excellent communication skills for patient education and team collaboration. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. Certification or training in pediatric dentistry or prosthodontics is advantageous but not required. Pay:
$19.00 - $24.00 per hour
