Position Summary The Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) is a full-time role responsible for assisting dentists and dental hygienists in the delivery of primary dental care services. This position also ensures proper sterilization, preparation, and inventory control of dental instruments and supplies while maintaining compliance with all safety and infection control standards.
Work Schedule Monday-Friday:
8am - 5pm Essential Duties & Responsibilities Assist dentists, dental hygienists, and students chairside during dental procedures Prepare and maintain operatories according to Dental Department protocols Expose and develop dental radiographs in compliance with state regulations Follow patient preparation and dismissal procedures Perform delegated duties in accordance with state law and dental protocols Maintain and care for dental equipment per manufacturer and department guidelines Ensure strict compliance with infection control, exposure control, and safety policies Sterilize reusable dental instruments and properly dispose of contaminated materials Monitor patient flow and assist with accurate completion of patient records Pull, review, and file patient charts as required Communicate professionally with patients, answering questions and providing guidance as authorized Assist with administrative and clinical tasks as needed Participate in health promotion and disease prevention activities Travel between sites as operational needs require Perform additional duties as assigned to support organizational goals
Education, Licensure & Qualifications Required:
High School Diploma or GED Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) with active licensure through TSBDE Completion of an accredited dental assisting program Minimum 1 year of dental assisting experience
