Duties Prepare treatment rooms with all necessary instruments, materials, and supplies for various dental procedures. Assist dentists during examinations and treatments by handing instruments, managing suction, and ensuring patient comfort through chairside assistance. Take and develop dental X-rays using advanced imaging technology such as 3D scanners, while adhering to strict infection control and aseptic techniques. Manage patient records accurately within Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems like Dentrix , ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations for confidentiality. Monitor vital signs and medical documentation for patients requiring pediatric dentistry or specialized care such as prosthodontics or endodontics. Support administrative tasks including scheduling appointments, updating medical records, and acting as a dental receptionist when needed. Maintain a clean and sterile environment following infection control protocols, including proper sterilization of instruments and disposal of biohazard materials. Qualifications Proven experience working in a dental clinic environment with knowledge of general dentistry procedures. Proficiency in Dental terminology, medical coding, and medical documentation practices. Familiarity with EMR systems such as Dentrix is highly desirable. Certification in X-ray techniques and knowledge of anatomy relevant to dentistry. Strong understanding of infection control standards, aseptic technique, and HIPAA compliance. Ability to perform chairside assisting efficiently in a fast-paced setting while maintaining excellent patient rapport. Knowledge of pediatric dentistry practices and experience working with pediatric patients is a plus. Excellent communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively within a team focused on delivering outstanding patient care.
