You will be responsible for assisting with dental treatments, managing patient records, and ensuring the highest standards of infection control and clinical confidentiality. Responsibilities Prepare treatment rooms and sterilize dental instruments following infection prevention management procedures. Assist dentists chairside during various procedures including oral surgery, endodontics, prosthodontics, and pediatric dentistry. Take and develop dental x-rays and 3D scans accurately while adhering to dental sterilization procedures. Manage patient records using electronic medical record (EMR) systems such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix, ensuring compliance with HIPAA and clinical confidentiality policies. Collect vital signs and medical documentation to support comprehensive patient care. Provide excellent patient management by explaining procedures, answering questions, and ensuring comfort throughout visits. Support administrative duties such as scheduling appointments, verifying insurance information, and performing dental receptionist tasks when needed. Skills Proficiency with EMR systems like Eaglesoft, Dentrix, or Patient Management Software to maintain accurate medical records. Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, and general dentistry practices to assist effectively during treatments. Experience with dental equipment including X-ray machines, 3D scanners, sterilization tools, and other clinical devices. Expertise in infection control protocols including aseptic technique, dental sterilization procedures, and healthcare infection prevention standards. Ability to perform chairside assisting with four-handed dentistry techniques to enhance efficiency during procedures. Familiarity with pediatric dentistry practices and oral surgery procedures to provide tailored patient care. Excellent communication skills to collaborate with team members such as dental receptionists and hygienists while maintaining professionalism at all times.
