SUMMARY:
LAUKOA is currently seeking applicants to fill our Dental Assistant positions located throughout the state of Tennessee in support of Medical Readiness Services for the Tennessee Army National Guard (TNARNG). Services will be performed in mobile and portable treatment environments at the client's location of choice throughout Minnesota. Work is primarily on weekends, with some occasional weekdays, and all work is performed on a part-time, "as needed" basis supporting Soldier medical and dental readiness requirements. LAUKOA provides health readiness services to help maintain a deployable military force for the
TNARNG. LOCATION

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Support sterilization, infection prevention, and biohazard control procedures in clinical treatment areas. Assist providers with DRC documentation and Service member dental readiness processing activities. Prepare and maintain mobile or portable dental treatment areas and equipment. Ensure compliance with OSHA bloodborne pathogen standards and PPE requirements. Capture digital x-rays (Bitewings, Periapicals, and Panographs) Complete event set up, take down, and maintenance of workstation equipment. Assist yearly examination/screening and ensure accurate charting on Military forms Scan through documentation to identify Soldier's required needs Safeguard all patient information Ensures all actions comply with HIPAA and other appropriate federal and state laws and regulations
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
This job has no supervisory responsibilities.
QUALIFICATIONS
Active Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) licensure for the state of Tennessee Active certificate in Dental Radiology from the Tennessee Board of Dentistry CPR/BLS certification High school diploma or equivalent A valid US driver's license Excellent customer service skills and experience interacting with difficult clientele Utilization of universal precautions for patient care 1+ years' experience in a dental setting Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changes quickly Ability to work for lengthy periods and perform accurately at adequate speed Must submit no less than two professional references with a resume
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Familiarity with military dental readiness documentation systems including
MEDCHART
DenClass.
