James River Family Dentistry is a modern, patient-focused private dental practice serving the Richmond area. We are committed to providing exceptional dentistry in a warm, welcoming environment where patients are treated like family and our team enjoys coming to work every day. No evenings or weekends! We work a Monday-Thursday schedule , giving you a three-day weekend every week while maintaining an excellent work-life balance. We're looking for a positive, dependable Dental Assistant who wants to build a long-term career with a practice that values teamwork, professionalism, and outstanding patient care. The ability to multitask and stay organized in a fast-paced environment. A team-first mindset and commitment to creating an exceptional patient experience. Responsibilities Assist the doctor during dental procedures. Support the hygienists as needed. Take digital radiographs ( X-Ray Certification required ). Capture high-quality intraoral photographs. Perform iTero® digital scans. Prepare treatment rooms and maintain a clean, organized clinical environment. Help deliver a five-star experience for every patient, every visit. Qualifications X-Ray Certification (Required) 2+ years of dental assisting experience preferred. Experience with Dentrix®, Dexis®, and iTero® is a plus. Excellent communication, organizational, and multitasking skills.
