Job Description

We are looking for a dedicated, highly skilled Experienced Orthodontic Assistant to provide 5-star chairside support to our orthodontists. The ideal candidate has at least 1-3 years of direct orthodontic experience and is passionate about delivering exceptional care, creating beautiful smiles, and guiding patients through their orthodontic journey.
Key Responsiblities:
Chairside Assistance:
Provide efficient four-handed dentistry, passing instruments, and anticipating doctor needs during bonding, adjustments, and debonding procedures.
Clinical Procedures:
Expertly place or adjust, and remove orthodontic appliances, including wires, ligatures, bands, brackets, and clear aligners.
Diagnostic Records:
Take high-quality digital orthodontic records, including iTero digital scans, CBCT/Panorex X-rays, and intraoral/extraoral photos.
Patient Education:
Educate patients and parents on oral hygiene, appliance care, and treatment progression, ensuring comfort and cooperation.
Sterilization & Compliance:
Maintain strict infection control (OSHA/CDC) and sterilization protocols for all instruments and operatories.
Patient Flow & Records:
Efficiently manage chair time to maintain a smooth flow and document accurate, detailed treatment notes in Cloud 9.
Qualifications Experience:
Minimum 1-3 years of hands-on, direct orthodontic assisting experience (required).
Radiography:
Current state X-ray certification.
Skills:
Proficiency with digital technology (iTero, digital X-rays).
Personality:
Exceptional communication skills, team-oriented mindset, and high attention to detail.
Education:
High school diploma or equivalent. Physical Requirements Ability to stand and walk for extended periods. Manual dexterity for handling small, delicate instruments. Ability to lift up to 30 lbs.
