- We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Dental Hygiene Assistant to join our dynamic and compassionate dental team.
- Responsibilities
- Assist dentists and hygienists with patient exams, treatments, and procedures, including radiographs, cleanings, and fillings.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, including medical histories, vital signs, and treatment plans.
- Perform vital sign checks, including blood pressure, temperature, and pulse.
- Utilize 3D scanner technology to assist in patient diagnoses and treatment plans.
- Implement aseptic technique to ensure a safe and clean environment for patients.
- Participate in infection control practices to prevent the spread of diseases.
- Assist with sterilization and disinfection of equipment and instruments.
- Work effectively in four-handed dentistry, supporting the dentist and hygienist during procedures.
- Maintain a thorough understanding of dental anatomy and assist with the administration of medications and anesthesia.
- Develop a strong knowledge of general dentistry and prosthodontics to assist with patient care and treatment planning.
- Utilize electronic medical records software, including Open Dental, to maintain patient records and communicate with healthcare providers.
- Provide exceptional patient care, ensuring a positive experience for all patients.
- Experience
- Previous experience as a Dental Assistant is preferred, but not required.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Virginia Dental X-Ray Certification is required.
- Completion of a dental assisting program or equivalent training is preferred.
- Certification in dental assisting or a related field is highly valued.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and maintain a high level of attention to detail.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients and healthcare professionals.
- Physical stamina to stand for long periods and perform repetitive tasks.
Pay:
$18.00- $20.
