Job Summary We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Dental Assistant to join our specialized practice. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in dental assisting, with expertise in chairside support, infection control, and specialized patient care. This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to a close-knit, high-quality clinical team focused on delivering excellent clinical treatments while ensuring patient comfort and safety.

Duties & Responsibilities Chairside Assistance:

Provide top-tier chairside assistance during specialized dental and surgical procedures, ensuring a smooth clinical workflow and optimal patient safety.

Clinical Preparation:

Prepare treatment rooms with necessary instruments, materials, and sterilization equipment following strict aseptic techniques and infection control protocols.

Advanced Imaging:

Capture high-quality digital X-rays and 3D CBCT scans.

Records Management:

Manage patient records efficiently using EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems, ensuring absolute accuracy and confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA regulations.

Patient Education:

Provide compassionate pre- and post-operative instructions to patients, addressing their questions and ensuring a clear understanding of their care.

Compliance & Safety:

Maintain a clean, organized clinical environment adhering strictly to infection control standards and OSHA guidelines.

Team Support:

Support cross-functional administrative tasks including scheduling appointments, updating medical documentation.

Qualifications Experience:

At least 1 year of hands-on clinical dental assisting experience (Required).

Software Proficiency:

Experience with dental practice management software such as Carestream Sensei, Eaglesoft, Dentrix, or similar platforms.

Technical Skills:

Strong understanding of dental terminology, clinical anatomy, infection control practices, and sterilization protocols.

Diagnostics:

Proficiency with digital radiography and 3D imaging scanners for comprehensive diagnostics.

Mindset:

A positive, "can-do" attitude with a strong desire to learn the highly rewarding specialty side of dentistry.

Communication:

Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to comfort, reassure, and educate patients.

Flexibility:

Ability to travel between our Stafford and Fredericksburg office locations on opposite days (Required).

Certifications:
