Job Description

Swihart Orthodontics is Hiring! We are looking for a chair side clinical orthodontic assistant. We build beautiful smiles. We make a difference. WHO WE'RE LOOKING FOR
You can handle a fast-paced day with grace You like working with people and staying organized You're meticulous, reliable, and detail-oriented You have a positive attitude and are open to learning. No previous orthodontic experience required (experience is preferred, but we value personality and attitude above all) You are a true team player. No pot stirrers or drama seekers! You are available to work 4 days per week (generally Tuesday-Friday)

RESPONSIBILITIES
Sterilization of instruments and equipment according to
CDC/OSHA
standards Disinfection of operatories/chairs between patients Performing required testing and maintenance of autoclaves Obtaining patient photographs to aid the orthodontist in developing treatment plans and documenting patient progress Taking x-rays, CBCTs, and digital scans for patient treatment planning Educating patients on oral hygiene Cleaning/polishing of teeth prior to placement of braces Assisting in placement of braces Placing/removing arch wires Clear aligner attachment placement Placing/removing single ties, chain, and ligature ties Accurate charting of orthodontic procedures Additional responsibilities as assigned by the orthodontist
REQUIREMENTS
