  • Dental Aesthetics | Vienna, Virginia Our wonderful SmileWorx team is growing, and we are excited to welcome an experienced Lead Dental Assistant to our practice.
SmileWorx is a privately owned practice—not a DSO. We are a modern, patient-centered dental office that values kindness, teamwork, clinical excellence, and creating a warm, personalized experience for every patient. We are looking for someone who truly cares about people, enjoys helping patients feel comfortable, and takes pride in providing excellent clinical support. The ideal candidate is an experienced and confident dental assistant who is skilled in four-handed dentistry, understands digital dental workflows, anticipates the doctor's needs, and helps procedures run smoothly and efficiently. Key Responsibilities Provide confident four-handed chairside assistance during dental procedures Anticipate the doctor's needs and maintain an efficient clinical workflow Prepare treatment rooms, instruments, materials, and equipment Assist with restorative, cosmetic, crown and bridge, Invisalign, implant-restorative, endodontic, and general dental procedures Capture high-quality digital X-rays, intraoral photographs, and digital scans Support digital dentistry and same-day crown workflows Help patients feel comfortable, informed, and cared for throughout their appointments Provide clear pre-operative and post-operative instructions Maintain accurate clinical documentation Follow infection-control, OSHA, and sterilization protocols Help oversee clinical organization, inventory, ordering, and room readiness Collaborate with the doctor, front office, and supporting dental assistant and sterilization team Required Qualifications Minimum of three years of dental assisting experience preferred Previous dental assisting experience in a general, restorative, or cosmetic dental practice Strong four-handed dentistry skills Experience with digital dentistry and intraoral scanning Ability to take diagnostic-quality digital X-rays Strong knowledge of dental instruments, materials, and procedures Warm, compassionate, and professional communication skills Excellent organization and attention to detail Ability to stay calm, efficient, and attentive during complex procedures Dependable, punctual, proactive, and willing to take ownership of the clinical workflow Preferred Experience CEREC, PrimeScan, iTero, or similar digital scanning systems Same-day crown workflows Cosmetic and restorative dentistry Invisalign Implant-restorative procedures Curve practice-management software Virginia dental radiology certification You may be a great fit for our team if you are clinically experienced, genuinely kind, and enjoy creating meaningful relationships with patients. Schedule:
Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday, with the potential to expand to a fourth clinical day
Compensation:
$28
  • 34 per hour, based on experience, clinical skills, and proficiency with digital dentistry
