  • Full-time Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable assistant to join our team.
The ideal candidate is a team player, open to assisting in both administrative and clinical aspects of the practice. As a Dental Sleep Medicine Assistant, you will support clinicians in ensuring seamless patient experiences, and maintaining the highest standards of clinical practice. This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to cutting-edge dental sleep medicine services within a dynamic healthcare environment. Duties Assist with patient intake Prepare treatment rooms with proper infection control and aseptic techniques, ensuring a sterile environment for all procedures. Operate software systems to document patient information accurately and efficiently. Support clinicians during chairside assisting with procedures involving oral appliances, vital signs monitoring, and medical documentation. Manage medical records and ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations to protect patient confidentiality. Educate patients on sleep disorder management, including the use of oral appliances and other therapeutic devices. Maintain inventory of dental supplies Uphold infection control standards and maintain a clean clinical environment in accordance with OSHA guidelines. Requirements Proficiency in software systems for documentation and scheduling purposes. Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and best practices for maintaining patient confidentiality. Familiarity with dental terminology, anatomy knowledge, and medical terminology relevant to dentistry and sleep medicine. Strong understanding of infection control practices and aseptic techniques within a dental clinic environment. Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with patients Certification in CPR or Basic Life Support (BLS) is preferred but not mandatory.
