Part-Time Location:
Pasco, WA Join Our Team as a Dental Assistant Instructor Charter College, an established and growing career college with locations in Washington, New Mexico, Alaska, Montana, and Southern California, is seeking a talented, enthusiastic, and experienced Dental Assistant Instructor to join our team at our Pasco, WA campus . We are currently seeking instructors who are available to teach day or evening classes in our Dental Assistant program. Charter College seeks enthusiastic instructors who are driven by student success. It is our philosophy to provide students with a unique educational path that prepares them for successful job performance and long-term career satisfaction in the healthcare industry. Blended Learning Environment Our blended course environment combines face-to-face instruction, including classroom discussions, group activities, lectures, and hands-on laboratory training, with web-based technologies such as discussion boards, online forums, and our learning management system. This approach provides students with a flexible and engaging learning experience while maintaining the value of hands-on, face-to-face instruction. Schedule We are seeking instructors who can accommodate either a day or evening schedule .
Day Classes:
Classes begin at approximately 9:00 a.m. Depending on the day's curriculum, classes may end as late as approximately 3:45 p.m. Schedule varies depending on whether the day consists primarily of lecture or hands-on laboratory instruction
Evening Classes:
Classes begin at approximately 6:00 p.m. Depending on the day's curriculum, classes may end as late as approximately 10:30 p.m. Schedule varies depending on whether the day consists primarily of lecture or hands-on laboratory instruction Classes may be scheduled 1-2 days per week , depending on program and course needs. Job Duties and Responsibilities Prepare for each course and develop a syllabus consistent with course descriptions and curriculum requirements Provide engaging classroom and hands-on laboratory instruction Emphasize the importance of professionalism and appropriate workplace conduct Assess student understanding throughout the course and provide additional instruction when needed Maintain academic and instructional standards Regularly evaluate student progress and provide timely feedback Be available to students who need additional assistance or have academic concerns Support student retention and engagement efforts Review and respond to student evaluations of instruction Participate in faculty meetings, committees, and official college functions as required Maintain professional knowledge and expertise through continuing education and professional development Maintain required academic and professional documentation Perform other duties as assigned Qualifications Current certification in Dental Assisting Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) Minimum of two (2) years of professional experience in dental assisting Excellent communication and customer service skills Strong interpersonal and organizational skills Experience teaching in a blended learning environment is preferred but not required Ability and willingness to provide hands-on instruction in a laboratory environment Compensation Part-Time 1250.00- 1450.00 per 5 week module completion Paid by course Flexible scheduling based on course and program needs Benefits 401(k) Employee assistance program Flexible schedule Health insurance Professional development assistance Schedule Day or evening availability Approximately 1-2 days per week Day classes beginning around 9:00 a.m. Evening classes beginning around 6:00 p.m. Actual end times may vary based on the day's lecture or laboratory schedule Application Questions Are you available to teach day classes beginning around 9:00 a.m. ?
