Job Overview Join our dynamic dental team as a Dental Assistant in Cedarburg, where your enthusiasm and expertise will directly enhance patient care and clinical efficiency. In this vital role, you will support dentists during procedures, manage patient flow, and ensure the highest standards of infection control and clinical confidentiality. Your proactive approach will help create a welcoming environment for patients of all ages, including pediatric dentistry cases, while maintaining smooth operations within our state-of-the-art dental practice. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to grow your skills in general dentistry, oral surgery, endodontics, prosthodontics, and more. Responsibilities Assist dentists chairside during a variety of procedures including oral surgery, endodontics, prosthodontics, and pediatric dentistry. Prepare and sterilize dental instruments and equipment following strict infection prevention management and aseptic techniques. Take and develop dental x-rays and 3D scans using advanced medical imaging technology while adhering to HIPAA regulations for patient privacy. Manage patient records using electronic medical documentation systems such as Dentrix, Eaglesoft, Epic, and patient management software to ensure accurate medical coding and documentation. Educate patients on oral health care practices, post-treatment instructions, and maintain a compassionate approach to patient care. Maintain clinical confidentiality policies while handling sensitive medical records and ensuring compliance with healthcare infection control standards. Support administrative tasks including patient check-in/out, scheduling appointments with a dental receptionist mindset, and managing medical documentation efficiently. Skills Proficiency with EMR systems such as Dentrix, Eaglesoft, Epic, or similar platforms for managing medical records and documentation. Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy knowledge, dental equipment operation, and dental sterilization procedures. Experience with dental x-ray techniques including intraoral imaging and 3D scanner operation. Familiarity with infection prevention management practices including aseptic technique and healthcare infection control expertise. Ability to perform chairside assisting with four-handed dentistry techniques to enhance procedural efficiency. Knowledge of pediatric dentistry principles and experience working with pediatric patients is highly desirable. Excellent communication skills to effectively coordinate with team members as a dental assistant or dental receptionist while maintaining clinical confidentiality policies.
