Job Description

Join our dynamic dental team as a Dental Assistant, where your enthusiasm and expertise will directly enhance patient care and streamline clinical operations. In this vital role, you will assist dentists during procedures, manage patient records, and ensure the highest standards of infection control and aseptic technique. Your proactive approach and attention to detail will contribute to creating a welcoming, efficient environment for both patients and staff. Prepare treatment rooms with necessary instruments, materials, and supplies, ensuring all equipment is sterilized and ready for use in accordance with infection control protocols. Assist dentists during a variety of procedures including general dentistry, prosthodontics, endodontics, and pediatric dentistry by providing chairside support and managing dental instruments efficiently. Take and develop X-ray images while maintaining strict adherence to HIPAA regulations and radiation safety standards. Manage patient records using EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix, ensuring accurate documentation of medical history, treatment plans, and medical coding. Conduct vital signs assessments and medical imaging procedures when necessary to support comprehensive patient evaluations. Educate patients on dental procedures, post-treatment care, and oral health best practices to promote ongoing wellness. Support the dental reception area by scheduling appointments, verifying insurance information, and handling patient inquiries with professionalism and warmth. Prior experience working in a dental clinic setting is highly preferred, but not necessary. Proficiency in dental assisting techniques including four-handed dentistry and chairside assisting is essential. Familiarity with dental software such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix, along with EMR systems like Epic or similar platforms. Knowledge of dental terminology, medical terminology, anatomy related to oral health, infection control practices, and aseptic techniques. Experience taking X-rays (including 3D scanner use) and performing medical imaging procedures in compliance with safety standards. Understanding of HIPAA regulations regarding medical documentation and patient privacy is required. Ability to handle medical records management, medical coding processes, and maintain accurate documentation for insurance claims or legal purposes. $16.00 - $25.00 per hour
