Full Job Description Summary We are seeking a Dental Assistant to fill an important role in our successful private practice. Learning and following our procedures will be essential. Excellent communication skills and positive attitude are required. Must be proficient using a computer. Experience in dental assisting is require. Current days would be Monday, Tuesday and optionally Wednesday Essential Duties and Responsibilities This list of duties and responsibilities is not all inclusive and may be expanded to include other duties and responsibilities as management may deem necessary from time to time. There is a career growth opportunity. Greet patients in a warm and friendly manner to the office Prepare patients for treatment or checkups Select and set up instruments and material needed Sterilize instruments Assist the dentist Undertake lab tasks Keep the dental room clean Keep the office area clean Answer phone calls with appropriate greeting protocol Be patient and polite answering questions Utilize Open Dental software to schedule appointments Be familiar with and enforce patient privacy and HIPAA Compliance Follow Standard Operating Procedures Enhance own professional development Perform other assigned duties as requested
