Job Description
Experienced Dental Assistant - Pediatric Dentistry Our busy pediatric dental specialty practice is seeking an experienced Dental Assistant to join our team full-time. We are looking for an energetic, dependable team player who is compassionate, enjoys working with children, and thrives in a fast-paced clinical environment. Candidates must have at least 1-2 years of hands-on chairside dental assisting experience. Pediatric experience is preferred, but not required—we are happy to teach an experienced dental assistant the pediatric side of dentistry. What You'll Do Chairside assisting for restorative procedures, including fillings, stainless steel crowns, extractions, and other pediatric dental treatment Perform child prophylaxis and SDF applications as permitted Assist our pediatric dentists at area hospitals with dental procedures performed under general anesthesia Follow sterilization, infection control, and disinfection protocols Work closely with our dentists and clinical team to keep a busy patient schedule running smoothly Because this position includes assisting at area hospitals, candidates must be eligible for hospital credentialing . Hospital credentialing requirements include a drug screening, COVID vaccination requirements, and other health and background documentation.
