Job Summary We are seeking a hard-working and compassionate Dental Assistant to join our community-based clinic serving high-risk pediatric patients in Casper and Riverton, Wyoming. This role involves working closely with patient families and a team of dental professionals in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will have experience in dental assisting, including taking X-rays, providing patient care, and supporting four-handed dentistry procedures. You will play a vital role in delivering quality dental services, including cleanings, orthodontic assisting, and positive communication with young children to ensure a comfortable and positive experience for every patient. Duties Assist the dentist during various dental procedures, including cleanings, orthodontic treatments, and other restorative work. Take and develop dental X-rays accurately while ensuring patient safety and comfort. Provide exceptional patient care by preparing patients for procedures, explaining treatments, and offering positive reinforcement, especially with young children. Support four-handed dentistry practices by efficiently managing instruments and materials to facilitate smooth workflow. Work collaboratively with the dental team to ensure efficient clinic operations in a fast-paced setting. Maintain sterilization protocols and ensure all dental equipment is properly sanitized and prepared for use. Communicate effectively with patients' families to foster trust and understanding of treatment plans. Assist with dental cleanings and other preventive care procedures as needed. Experience Prior experience working in a dental clinic setting is required. Proficiency in taking dental X-rays is essential. Experience providing patient care, especially with pediatric patients, is highly desirable. Familiarity with four-handed dentistry techniques is preferred. Ability to work well within a team environment in a busy clinical setting is important. $20.00 - $30.00 per hour Expected hours: 30.0 - 40.0 per week
