Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Dental Hygienist to join our dental practice. In this vital role, you will provide high-quality preventive oral health services, educate patients on maintaining optimal dental hygiene, and support overall patient well-being. The ideal candidate will possess a strong commitment to patient care, excellent communication skills, and a thorough understanding of dental procedures and hygiene practices. This position offers an opportunity to work in a collaborative environment focused on delivering exceptional dental care. Duties Perform comprehensive dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing teeth to remove plaque and tartar buildup. Conduct oral health assessments and record patient histories accurately. Educate patients on proper brushing, flossing techniques, and other preventive care measures. Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) as needed, ensuring patient safety protocols are followed. Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures with precision and professionalism. Provide postoperative instructions and reinforce treatment plans to ensure patient understanding. Maintain sterilization standards for dental instruments and equipment in compliance with health regulations. Manage patient records with accuracy, ensuring confidentiality and data integrity. Schedule appointments efficiently while accommodating patient needs. Stay informed about the latest advancements in dental hygiene practices through ongoing education. Requirements Valid license as a Registered Dental Hygienist in accordance with state or regional licensing boards. Proven experience in a clinical dental setting preferred but not mandatory; new graduates are encouraged to apply. Proficiency in taking dental radiographs and familiarity with digital imaging technology. Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with diverse patient populations. Knowledge of infection control protocols and sterilization procedures. Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary healthcare team. Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail to ensure accurate documentation.
