Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Registered Dental Hygienist to join our dynamic dental team. Duties Perform comprehensive dental cleanings, including scaling, polishing, and fluoride treatments to promote optimal oral health. Conduct patient assessments by reviewing medical histories, vital signs, and dental charts to inform treatment plans. Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) accurately while adhering to infection prevention protocols. Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices, preventive care, and post-treatment instructions to enhance their understanding of dental health. Assist with chairside procedures by preparing instruments, managing dental equipment, and ensuring a sterile environment through aseptic techniques. Maintain accurate and detailed medical records within electronic health record (EHR) systems such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix. Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations by maintaining patient confidentiality and safeguarding sensitive information. Requirements Valid state licensure as a Registered Dental Hygienist with current certification. Proven experience in general dentistry or pediatric dentistry settings with proficiency in dental terminology and equipment. Knowledge of infection prevention management, healthcare infection control standards, and aseptic techniques. Familiarity with EHR/EHR systems such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix for documentation review and medical coding. Strong communication skills for effective client interaction and patient education. Ability to perform patient assessments, vital signs measurement, and medical imaging accurately. Experience with pediatric dentistry is a plus, along with expertise in four-handed dentistry techniques.
