Job Overview Join our dynamic dental team as a Dental Hygienist, where your expertise will play a vital role in delivering exceptional patient care and promoting optimal oral health. In this energetic and rewarding position, you will provide comprehensive dental hygiene services, assist with patient assessments, and support the overall efficiency of our dental practice. Your passion for dentistry and commitment to patient well-being will help create a positive, comfortable environment for all visitors. Responsibilities Perform dental cleanings, including scaling, polishing, and fluoride treatments to maintain oral health. Conduct patient assessments by reviewing medical histories, vital signs, and dental charts to ensure safe and effective care. Take and develop medical imaging such as X-rays while adhering to infection control protocols and aseptic techniques. Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care to promote ongoing health. Maintain accurate and detailed dental records ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations. Review documentation for accuracy, update dental coding as needed, and ensure all records are complete and current. Skills Proficiency with dental software systems such as Open Dental for scheduling, documentation review, and record management. Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, infection control procedures, and aseptic techniques. Familiarity with dental terminology, vital signs monitoring, and dental imaging techniques relevant to dental care. Excellent patient care skills with a compassionate approach to dentistry patients alike. Knowledge of HIPAA compliance standards for safeguarding patient information and maintaining confidentiality. From $42.50 per hour
