Job Description

Job description: Dr. Brumley is seeking a skilled and compassionate Part Time Dental Hygienist to join our team. The ideal candidate is patient-focused, detail-oriented, and committed to providing high-quality oral health care in a supportive, team-centered environment.
Schedule:
Monday, Tuesday or Thursday 8-4pm (2 days a week)
Job Summary:
As a Dental Hygienist, you will play a vital role in delivering preventive and therapeutic dental care. Responsibilities include dental prophylaxis, periodontal therapy, patient education, and assisting with treatment planning while ensuring patient comfort and safety.
Responsibilities:
Perform dental hygiene procedures, including prophylaxis, scaling and root planning, and periodontal maintenance Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, including oral cancer screenings and review of medical histories Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques, preventive care, and post-operative instructions Take dental radiographs (X-rays) and assist with dental imaging procedures Accurately document patient care using Open Dental or similar dental software Maintain a clean, safe, and organized operatory Follow all aseptic techniques and infection control protocols to ensure patient safety Assist the dentist during exams as needed
Requirements:
Active Dental Hygienist license in the state of practice CPR certification (or willingness to obtain) Proficiency in medical terminology and strong knowledge of dental systems Ability to perform thorough patient assessments Familiarity with Open Dental or similar dental software Strong understanding of aseptic techniques and infection control measures Experience with CAD/CAM technology and dental imaging is a plus Excellent communication skills and a team-oriented mindset New graduates are welcome to apply
