We emphasize patient education and improving the overall health of our community. Presently, we need help part- time, but there is opportunity for full time employment with additional benefits in the future. Responsibilities Perform dental prophylaxis, scaling, root planing, and polishing procedures to remove plaque, tartar, and stains effectively. Take digital radiographs ensuring proper technique. Conduct patient assessments by reviewing medical history, vital signs, and current health status. Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices, including brushing, flossing techniques, and dietary advice for optimal dental health. Assist the dentist during examinations for proper charting. Apply fluoride treatments and dental sealants as needed. Accurately document and maintain patient records. Follow infection prevention protocols by practicing aseptic techniques, sterilizing equipment, and managing infection control procedures diligently. Build trusting, long-lasting relationships with patients. Qualifications Valid AZ licensure as a Registered Dental Hygienist, including local anesthesia. Strong understanding of dental terminology and anatomy relevant to general dentistry. Current CPR certification Respect for infection control practices and procedures. Strong periodontal therapy skills, valuing precision in calculus detection and removal for disease management. Excellent patient communication skills with the ability to educate, motivate, and make a difference. Be independently motivated and also able to work cohesively with other team members. Compensation Daily, reliable salary based on experience. Fair scheduling, with adequate time for thorough patient care: 1 hour per patient for prophylaxis and periodontal maintenance cleanings, 1 hour per quadrant of scaling and root planing. Sharp, well-maintaned instruments and equipment. You choose your own instrument set-ups. Strict cut-off time for late patients! Autonomy in developing hygiene treatment plans and preventive patient care.
