The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality dental care to patients while ensuring their comfort and safety. This role requires a strong understanding of dental procedures, patient assessment, and infection control protocols. The Dental Hygienist will work closely with the dental team to deliver exceptional patient care and maintain accurate documentation. Responsibilities Perform thorough dental cleanings and scaling procedures to maintain oral health. Conduct patient assessments, including reviewing medical history and vital signs. Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices and preventive care. Assist in the development of individualized treatment plans based on patient needs. Ensure compliance with infection control protocols and maintain a sterile environment. Review documentation for accuracy and completeness in accordance with practice standards. Utilize Open Dental software for patient records management and documentation. Collaborate with dentists and other staff members to provide comprehensive patient care. Experience Previous experience in dental assisting or a related field is preferred. Strong knowledge of medical terminology and aseptic techniques. Familiarity with patient care practices, including infection control measures. Ability to perform patient assessments effectively and efficiently. Experience with documentation review processes is highly desirable. Proficiency in using dental software systems, particularly Open Dental, is a plus.
