Responsibilities Perform thorough dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing to remove plaque and tartar buildup Conduct patient assessments by reviewing medical histories and vital signs to ensure safe treatment plans Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques, preventive care, and treatment options Assist the dentist during procedures using four-handed dentistry techniques to improve efficiency and comfort Take and interpret medical imaging such as X-rays, ensuring proper positioning and safety protocols are followed Maintain accurate and detailed documentation of patient records, treatment notes, and medical histories in EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems like Eaglesoft or Dentrix Follow strict infection control protocols, including aseptic techniques and sterilization procedures, to ensure a safe environment for all Experience Proven experience working as a Dental Hygienist in a busy dental office or clinic setting Familiarity with dental terminology, medical coding, and documentation review processes Knowledge of pediatric dentistry practices is highly desirable to effectively care for young patients Proficiency with EMR systems such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix to manage patient records efficiently Strong understanding of infection control standards, HIPAA regulations, and aseptic techniques to protect patient confidentiality and safety Ability to perform chairside assisting duties when needed, supporting general dentistry procedures with professionalism and care Excellent communication skills with the ability to educate patients about oral health in an engaging manner This role is perfect for motivated professionals eager to make a positive impact on patients' lives while advancing their career in a supportive environment.
