Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Registered Dental Hygienist to join our reputable dental practice. The ideal candidate will provide exceptional patient care, perform comprehensive dental cleanings, and support the overall health and well-being of our patients. This role requires a thorough understanding of dental procedures, excellent communication skills, and adherence to strict infection control protocols. Experience with EMR systems and dental office software such as Eaglesoft and Dentrix is highly preferred. The position offers an opportunity to work in a collaborative environment focused on delivering high-quality dental services across general and pediatric dentistry. Duties Perform thorough dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing, while ensuring patient comfort Conduct patient assessments, including vital signs and medical history review Assist with chairside procedures such as medical imaging, medical record documentation, and medical coding Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care Support pediatric dentistry procedures with specialized techniques for children Maintain infection control standards using aseptic techniques and proper sterilization methods Review documentation for accuracy and completeness in compliance with HIPAA regulations Collaborate with dentists during procedures, including four-handed dentistry practices Monitor patient responses during treatments and provide appropriate care or adjustments Ensure the dental operatory is prepared with necessary supplies and equipment before each appointment Qualifications Valid state licensure as a Registered Dental Hygienist Proven experience in general dentistry; experience in pediatric dentistry is a plus Proficiency with EMR systems such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, infection control, and aseptic techniques Familiarity with medical imaging, vital signs measurement, and patient assessment procedures Ability to perform dental assisting tasks including chairside assisting and documentation review Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and medical records management Excellent communication skills with the ability to educate patients effectively Prior experience working in dental clinics or offices is highly desirable Commitment to maintaining high standards of patient care and safety This position offers an engaging environment where your skills will directly impact patient health outcomes.
