  • Part-time Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Registered Dental Hygienist to join our vibrant dental team.
In this vital role, you will provide exceptional patient care by performing dental cleanings, assessments, and preventive treatments while ensuring a comfortable and positive experience for every patient. Your expertise in dental procedures, infection control, and patient education will help promote optimal oral health and foster lasting relationships with our diverse patient community. Responsibilities Perform thorough dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing to remove plaque and tartar buildup. Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, including vital signs, medical history review, and oral examinations. Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) using advanced imaging technology while maintaining strict safety protocols. Assist with chairside procedures such as applying fluoride treatments, sealants, and other preventive care measures. Manage electronic health records (EHR) efficiently by documenting treatment plans, medical records, and patient notes accurately. Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices, dietary habits, and post-treatment care to promote long-term oral health. Adhere to infection prevention protocols by maintaining aseptic techniques, sterilizing equipment, and ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations to protect patient confidentiality. Collaborate seamlessly with dentists and other team members using four-handed dentistry techniques for efficient patient care delivery. Operate dental equipment safely and effectively while understanding dental terminology and anatomy to support general dentistry procedures. Maintain a clean, organized treatment area following infection control standards to ensure a safe environment for patients and staff. Experience Proven experience as a Dental Hygienist in a busy dental clinic or healthcare setting is preferred. Proficiency with electronic health record (EHR) systems such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix is highly desirable. Strong knowledge of medical terminology, medical coding, and documentation review processes. Familiarity with pediatric dentistry practices and working with pediatric patients is a plus. Demonstrated expertise in healthcare infection prevention and control management, including aseptic technique and sterilization procedures. Excellent patient care skills with the ability to assess patient needs effectively while maintaining HIPAA compliance at all times. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment utilizing skills in dental assisting, chairside assisting, and medical imaging techniques.
