Healthcare infection prevention and control expertise Organizational skills Patient education Registered Dental Hygienist Full Job Description Arapahoe Dental is a privately owned, patient-centered dental practice in Boulder, Colorado, committed to providing exceptional dental care in a warm, welcoming environment. We are looking for a compassionate, detail-oriented Registered Dental Hygienist to join our team every Monday . This position is ideal for a hygienist looking to supplement an existing schedule, enjoy a consistent one-day-per-week position, or maintain work-life balance while practicing in a modern, supportive office. Our practice currently has two full-time hygienists Tuesday through Thursday, and we are looking for a second hygienist on Mondays to help meet our growing patient demand. Our office hours are Monday through Thursday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM. Responsibilities Welcome patients and help them feel comfortable before treatment Review medical and dental histories Perform comprehensive periodontal assessments and oral cancer screenings Identify conditions such as gingivitis, periodontal disease, and dental caries Perform routine prophylaxis, periodontal maintenance, scaling and root planing, fluoride treatments, and sealants as appropriate Take digital dental radiographs Educate patients on oral hygiene, home care, and preventive dentistry Document clinical findings accurately in patient charts Assist the doctor with diagnosis and treatment planning Properly sterilize instruments and maintain treatment rooms Monitor and maintain hygiene supplies while following OSHA and HIPAA guidelines Qualifications Current Colorado Registered Dental Hygienist (RDH) license CPR certification Strong knowledge of infection control and HIPAA regulations Excellent communication and patient education skills Friendly, compassionate, and professional chairside manner Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Ability to work independently while collaborating with a team Experience with digital radiography and dental software is preferred What We Offer Competitive hourly pay based on experience A supportive and collaborative team environment Modern technology and equipment Loyal patient base with an established schedule Opportunity to work in a privately owned practice that values quality patient care If you're looking for a consistent Monday-only position where you can make a meaningful impact while working alongside an experienced and welcoming team, we'd love to hear from you!
