Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) using dental imaging equipment while adhering to safety protocols. Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices, preventive care, and post-treatment instructions to promote long-term oral health. Assist the dentist during procedures using four-handed dentistry techniques to enhance efficiency and patient comfort. Maintain accurate documentation of patient interactions, treatment notes, and medical records within Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix. Follow infection prevention protocols, including aseptic techniques and infection control measures, to ensure a safe environment for patients and staff. Requirements Valid licensure as a Registered Dental Hygienist in accordance with state regulations. Proven experience in general dentistry and pediatric dentistry settings, with familiarity in pediatric dentistry preferred. Proficiency with dental software platforms such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix for charting and record management. Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, medical terminology, and dental equipment operation. Ability to perform dental x-rays accurately while maintaining HIPAA compliance and safeguarding patient confidentiality. Excellent communication skills for client education and team collaboration; experience in client communication is highly valued. Knowledge of healthcare infection prevention standards, including infection control practices and aseptic techniques.
