In this energized and rewarding position, you will provide comprehensive dental hygiene services, assist with patient assessments, and support our general and dentistry practices. Your dedication to infection control, patient education, and precise documentation will ensure a safe, comfortable, and positive experience for every patient. Duties Perform thorough dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing to remove plaque and tartar buildup. Conduct patient assessments by taking vital signs, medical history reviews, and oral examinations to identify potential issues. Prepare patients for treatment by explaining procedures, ensuring proper positioning, and applying aseptic techniques to maintain infection control standards. Capture and review dental radiographs (medical imaging) accurately while adhering to HIPAA regulations for patient privacy. Maintain detailed medical records using EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix, ensuring documentation review and accuracy. Educate patients on oral hygiene practices, preventive care, and post-treatment instructions to promote long-term oral health. Qualifications Valid state licensure as a Dental Hygienist with current certification to practice in a clinical setting. Proven experience in dental office environment. Proficiency in dental terminology, medical terminology, and medical coding for accurate documentation and billing processes. Skilled in chairside assisting techniques, infection control protocols, and aseptic technique adherence. Knowledge of anatomy relevant to oral health, medical imaging procedures, and vital signs monitoring. Experience working with EMR systems such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix is highly desirable.
