In this energetic and rewarding position, you will work closely with patients to provide thorough cleanings, assessments, and education while supporting the overall efficiency of our dental practice. Your expertise will help ensure a comfortable, safe, and positive experience for every patient, all while maintaining the highest standards of infection control and documentation. Responsibilities Perform dental prophylaxis procedures, including cleaning, scaling, and polishing teeth to promote oral health. Conduct patient assessments by reviewing medical histories, vital signs, and dental charts to ensure comprehensive care. Assist with chairside procedures in general dentistry and pediatric dentistry settings, ensuring smooth workflow during treatments. Take and develop medical imaging such as X-rays, ensuring proper technique and patient safety. Educate patients on oral hygiene practices, treatment plans, and preventive care to foster long-term dental health. Maintain accurate medical records and documentation review in compliance with HIPAA regulations and clinic policies. Support infection control protocols through aseptic techniques and proper sterilization procedures to safeguard patient and staff health. Qualifications Proven experience as a Dental Hygienist with proficiency in (Electronic Medical Records) systems. Knowledge of dentistry principles and experience working with patients is highly desirable. Strong understanding of dental terminology, anatomy knowledge, and general dentistry procedures. Ability to perform chairside assisting with four-handed dentistry techniques efficiently. Familiarity with dental coding, documentation review, and medical records management. Certification in dental hygiene licensure required by state regulations; CPR certification preferred. Excellent patient care skills with the ability to communicate effectively and compassionately.
