In this role, you will play a critical part in promoting oral health and providing exceptional patient care. You will be responsible for performing dental cleanings, educating patients on oral hygiene practices, and assisting the dental team in delivering high-quality care. The ideal candidate will possess strong clinical skills and a passion for helping patients achieve optimal dental health. Duties Conduct thorough dental cleanings and examinations to assess patients' oral health. Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and the importance of regular dental visits. Maintain accurate medical records and document patient treatments using Dentrix or Eaglesoft software. Assist the dentist during procedures by providing four-handed dentistry support. Implement infection control protocols to ensure a safe environment for patients and staff. Utilize medical terminology and dental terminology effectively in communication with patients and team members. Perform necessary administrative tasks related to patient care, including medical coding when applicable. Stay updated on advancements in dental hygiene practices and participate in continuing education opportunities. Skills Proficiency in infection control procedures to maintain a safe clinical environment. Familiarity with Dentrix or Eaglesoft software for managing patient records. Strong understanding of medical terminology relevant to dental practices. Experience with four-handed dentistry techniques to assist effectively during procedures. Ability to maintain accurate medical records and perform medical coding as needed. Knowledge of dental terminology to communicate effectively with patients and colleagues. Excellent patient care skills, demonstrating empathy and professionalism in all interactions. Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in clinical documentation.
