The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care, performing dental cleanings, and assisting in various dental procedures. This role requires a strong understanding of dental terminology, patient assessment, and infection control practices. The Dental Hygienist will work closely with both patients and the dental team to ensure a comfortable and efficient experience. Responsibilities Perform thorough dental cleanings and scaling procedures to maintain optimal oral health for patients. Conduct patient assessments, including taking vital signs and reviewing medical histories. Utilize EMR systems for accurate documentation of patient records and treatment plans. Assist in chairside procedures, providing support to the dentist during treatments. Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and preventive care strategies. Maintain compliance with HIPAA regulations and ensure confidentiality of patient information. Implement aseptic techniques and infection control measures in accordance with industry standards. Collaborate with the dental team to provide exceptional patient care in both general and pediatric dentistry settings. Review medical records and documentation for accuracy prior to patient appointments. Qualifications Proven experience in a dental office or clinic setting, with knowledge of Eaglesoft or Dentrix software preferred. Familiarity with pediatric dentistry practices is a plus. Strong understanding of medical terminology, anatomy knowledge, and dental terminology. Experience with four-handed dentistry techniques is advantageous. Ability to perform medical imaging as required by specific procedures. Excellent communication skills, demonstrating empathy and professionalism in patient interactions. Knowledge of infection control protocols and aseptic techniques is essential. Certification as a Dental Hygienist from an accredited program is required.
