Responsibilities:
Providing excellent patient care Taking X-Rays Explaining treatment to patients OHI, Perio Charting Entering patient treatment plans Providing assistance to the office and Dentist with daily operations as needed Local Anesthesia Certification is a plus Position Requirements A minimum of two years experience. Responsibilities Perform comprehensive dental cleanings, including scaling, polishing, and fluoride treatments to promote optimal oral health. Conduct patient assessments by taking vital signs, medical histories, and dental radiographs using medical imaging equipment. Assist dentists during procedures with chairside assisting, ensuring smooth workflow and patient comfort. Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices, treatment options, and preventive care tailored to pediatric dentistry needs. Maintain accurate and detailed documentation of patient records, treatment notes, and medical history in electronic medical record (EMR) system. Follow infection control protocols using aseptic techniques to prevent cross-contamination and ensure a sterile environment. Review documentation for accuracy and completeness, ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations and dental terminology standards. Experience Proven experience working as a Dental Hygienist in a fast-paced dental office or clinic setting. Familiarity with dental assisting procedures, including chairside assisting techniques specific to pediatric dentistry. Knowledge of general dentistry procedures, anatomy, medical terminology, and infection control practices. Experience with EMR systems such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix is highly preferred. Strong understanding of medical coding and documentation review processes related to dental care. Ability to communicate effectively with patients of all ages, especially pediatrics, demonstrating patience and professionalism. Certification as a Registered Dental Hygienist (RDH) in accordance with state licensing requirements is essential. Join us in creating healthier smiles through passionate patient care!
