Job Description

Role Overview Vivere Meliora Dentistry is seeking a skilled, detail-oriented Registered Dental Hygienist to join our boutique, patient-first practice. We specialize in comprehensive restorative, cosmetic, and preventive care in a modern, technologically advanced environment. This role is central to delivering thorough clinical evaluations, exceptional periodontal therapy, and an elevated chairside experience that educates and empowers patients.
Key Responsibilities Clinical Care & Prevention:
Perform comprehensive oral health assessments, digital periodontal charting, adult/child prophylaxis, and non-surgical periodontal therapy (scaling and root planing) with precision and gentle technique.
Digital Diagnostics & Technology:
Capture high-resolution digital radiographs, intraoral photos, and 3D digital impressions to assist in treatment planning, patient co-discovery, and progress tracking.
Patient Education & Co-Diagnosis:
Clearly communicate oral-systemic health connections, periodontal findings, home-care regimens, and the value of proposed restorative or aesthetic care.
Local Anesthesia:
Administer local infiltration and nerve blocks safely and effectively for patient comfort during advanced hygiene procedures (where certified).
Sterilization & Compliance:
Maintain strict compliance with OSHA, CDC, and Florida Board of Dentistry guidelines for infection control, equipment sterilization, and operatory sanitation.
Collaborative Workflow:
Partner closely with the dentist to review clinical findings, coordinate care plans, and ensure smooth, punctual daily schedules.
Qualifications & Requirements Licensure:
Active, unrestricted Florida Registered Dental Hygienist (RDH) license.
Certifications:
Current CPR/BLS certification; Florida Local Anesthesia certification strongly preferred.
Technical Proficiency:
Experience with modern digital charting, digital radiography, and intraoral scanners (e.g., iTero).
Clinical Mindset:
Strong foundational knowledge of contemporary periodontal protocols, soft tissue management, and preventive therapies.
Communication Skills:
